HOw do counseling & Coaching differ?

Counselling typically focuses on addressing emotional and psychological issues from the past and present, such as trauma, anxiety, or depression. It often involves exploring these issues in depth to help individuals heal and move forward. Coaching, on the other hand, is more future-oriented and focuses on setting and achieving goals, improving performance, and enhancing personal development. Both can be valuable, depending on your needs and goals.

How do I know if I need counselling or coaching?

If you’re dealing with deep emotional issues, past trauma, or mental health challenges, counselling might be the right choice. If you’re looking to improve specific aspects of your life, such as career advancement, personal growth, or achieving goals, coaching could be more suitable. Sometimes, a combination of both can be beneficial.

About Our Counselling & Coaching Process

What can I expect from my first session?

In a typical session, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your concerns or goals with your counsellor or coach. For counselling, this might involve exploring your thoughts and feelings in depth. For coaching, the focus may be on developing action plans, setting goals, and strategizing for success. Sessions are generally conversational, supportive, and tailored to your specific needs.

How is my confidentiality protected?

Yes, confidentiality is a crucial part of the process. What you share in sessions remains private and is protected by law, with a few exceptions such as risks of harm or legal requirements. I’ll explain these exceptions in detail during our first meeting.

Can I choose what topics we discuss?

Absolutely. You're in control of the topics we explore. We're are here to support you in whatever areas you choose to focus on, whether it’s personal challenges, relationship issues, or any other concerns. Your sessions are tailored to your needs and goals.

How long are the sessions, and how many will I need?

Sessions usually last between 50 minutes. The number of sessions you’ll need depends on your individual goals and needs. Some people find a few sessions sufficient, while others may benefit from ongoing support. This will be discussed and adjusted based on your progress and preferences.

How do I prepare for my first session?

Before your first session, take some time to reflect on what you hope to achieve and any specific topics or concerns you’d like to address. There’s no need for formal preparation—just come with an open mind and readiness to explore and work on your goals.
